First sig ever

Hey i have just installed photoshop today and i made my first 2 sigs, i know they are not very good but can anyone give me tips and advice on how i can improve my next one or how i can improve my current ones.

Well seeing as it's your first it's not too bad, the rising sun effect is simple, and the rendered cloud backgrounds just makes it a nice plain beginners piece. Just keep looking at tutorials, a few of the most important concepts to learn early i would say are Depth, lighting, and focal, just look up some tutorials on them and it will point you in the right direction. You should leave text out, until you can properly use it to match with your signature.
