Conjecture- An idea that has not been proven or disproven and appears to be correct. Counterexample- An example that disproves a conjecture. Example: Conjecture: I have a three yellow pencils, and no others, therefore all pencils are yellow. Counterexample: A red pencil. I hope that helps
