Modding Question

Hey -
So I don't hack so please no "Wow your stupid" responses please. I was thinking, If you can mod how fast a weapon goes and how it looks, Can't you mod what it does? In the files of a weapon somewhere their has to be a code to wither it shoots or slashes. If their is it would a most useful modd. You could join a knife only game and have your knife "Shoot players".

The time it takes depends on what your trying to mod, mods can take up from minutes to hours (probably a big project though). Yes you can mod certain aspects that changes the properties of a gun such as ROF and even recoil (related to changing ROF), however there are currently limits to modding such as not being able to change damage, portability, spread etc. And no knives can't shoot bullets etc. currently through the modding process.
