Porting iPad Apps To iPhone
Requirements:
  1. Jailbroken iPhone or iPod touch
  2. AppSync (Source: cydia.hackylo.us)
  3. Archive Software (WinZip, 7-Zip, jZip, WinRar, etc)
  4. An iPad App
  5. Attached File (Virus Scan)

Step 1, Extract The App:
First you must download an iPad app that you would like to try this with. Some apps do not work, so I recommend you begin with one that I can confirm does work, like Flipboard (iTunes Link). Download the application and then go into the Apps section of your iTunes library. Click and drag the icon of Flipboard out of the library and onto your desktop. You should now see Flipboard 1.0.2.ipa (1.0.2 Being the version number). The important part here is the file extension. Change it from .ipa to .zip and then extract the file. Now you should have a folder named Flipboard 1.0.2 on your desktop. Depending on how your extracting software

Step 2, Editing iTunesMetadata Property List File:
Now you need to open up the newly extracted app folder. Inside this folder you should see three things: iTunesArtwork, Payload, and iTunesMetadata.plist. Apple uses property list (.plist) files for a lot of things in iOS and Mac OS X, but they are non-existent as far as Windows is concerned. Because of this, you need to download an application to open these files. Notepad can handle most of them, but it has problems with one of the important ones we will be using, so download the attached program and install it if you haven’t already. After installing, run the program and open iTunesMetadata.plist with it. The file should look like this. Do a search for softwareVersionBundleId. Underneath this you should see the following: <string>com.flipboard.flipboard-ipad</string>. Simply add the word iPod to the end of the string. It should look like: <string>com.flipboard.flipboard-ipadiPod</string>.
All apps will follow this format (com.Company.AppName), so keep that in mind. Now search for softwareSupportedDeviceIds. Underneath this you will find the following: <array> <integer>9</integer> <ay>
Change the number 9 to the number 1, then save this file.

Step 3, Editing Info Property List File:
Now you should go inside the Payload folder. Inside this you will find the folder Flipboard.app. Go inside this folder and look for a file named Info.plist. Open this plist file with the application you installed earlier and search for: UIDeviceFamily. You should see: <array> <integer>2</integer> <ay>. Change the 2 to a 1. Now search for UFBundleIdentifier. Underneath this you will see the same thing as what we saw in iTunesMetadata.plist: <string>com.flipboard.flipboard-ipad</string>. Add iPod to the end of this as well. Save this file and close the application.

Step 4, Installing On Your iPod or iPhone:
Go into the Flipboard 1.0.2 folder (where there should be three things). Highlight the three things in that folder and compress then into a zip file. Rename the zip file to Flipboard.ipa. Make sure the file extension is changed and not just the name. Double click on this file, and then sync your iPod or iPhone. The app should now be on your device. Some may not work at all, and some just won’t work well with the screen, but it is still pretty cool!
