I was in many clans that I quit or it got disbanded because the leader wasn't effective, I remember a clan whom I was regretful into it having to be disbanded because the leader was a soft-hearted guy and he was a cool guy, but he wasn't a good leader and people stomps all over him.

He had bipolar disorder and wasn't stern or aggressive, he was passive in his leadership roles and that causes a lot of conflicts.

Also organization is also very important in the clan, but I am thinking about making a thread about running a clan, so.

Please elaborate on what you think makes a great clan.

When you advertise the gifting part, your most likely to get a bunch of noobs to apply. Maybe don't advertise that, wait until they join. Advertise all of the other stuff along with the website.

Group of old CA friends you still have and trustworthy people on the internet that would never or you doubt would back-stab you. They have to have NX. get a clan site and a voice chat server. get each others emails if not already. include strict rules. Emblem and colored name make you look not only cooler but even more intimidating and worth joining.

Age should definitely be limited. Only people who have gone through puberty should be allowed.
