[Help]How do Chams work?
I have questions regarding chams.

How do they work with D3D?
idk :/
i think chams are colours
Thats not really helpful
Put simply chams are hooks on the DirectX Model Rendering routines, such as DrawIndexedPrimative. They involve usually recognizing a particular model being drawn from either the num of vertices, the Prim count, etc.

Then the models are usually colored over with another color that is more easily visible such as pure red, or yellow. Basically the people change colors hence why its called chameleon or chams for short.

Also wallhacks are popular with chams since models can be shaded different colors when they are visible or not, though the two can be separate.
psuedo code should help

if game engine is drawing player -> disable z buffer

this involves some intercepting of certain functions
oooh coool +rep for yu

Dont talk if you dont know what your saying.

I made hacks that involve PTC commands which are the easy ones. I wanna learn how to do the complex stuff, so im not a copy paster you noob.
just do a pDevice->SetRenderState

I dont think it would be that simple. If it was everyone would be doing it.

SetRenderState is what you use to disable the z buffer. Astral explained it well.
