Can we just on? Every single time the public in MapleStory got ahold of ANYTHING that can generate the tiniest amount of meso, the game imploded. I'm willing to bet the same will happen here if this was real and was leaked ^^ lol.

To be fair, it does seem like that.

It is what it is. They're being selfish. Obviously something exists, but they're trying to turn the community away from it. It obviously has the power to crumble this game and they realize that. But, they're still going to use it and be greedy. If it didn't exist. x1productions and all of these threads would be for naught and considering that he deleted the attached screenshots and the comments that followed that thread. I would say that isn't the case.

And why do you think that's the case? Maybe they're notifying Nexon and getting it patched before something really stupid happens?

Because it's Nexon and people are greedy. They wouldn't do that. They're going to harbor it to themselves.

You can keep on saying "you didn't read anything, it doesn't exist, and it's not possible." But the fact is, because of x1productions thread we know it's possible, there is a method, and the people who know of it are harboring it to themselves. It's the only thing that makes sense.

Harboring it for themselves? Do you realize how easy it is to find these things and remove the hacker?

First of all, they are not harboring it for themselves, they are trying to prevent stupid idiots from crashing the market and causing a potential rollback (as stated by a GM saying if the damages scale too high then rollback is possible).

Second, compared to console usage, this more than likely involves packets or host-to-server type interaction which poses huge risks to the hacker and most likely easily banned.

Third, considering this type of "method" can potentially get rid of the need for Nexon Cash related items (people pay for the +LUK, yet this method exists) and knowing Nexon is a money-loving company they will definitely take action on these matters over any console abuse any day.

To the people who know how to spawn items, keep it for yourself and keep the leechers crying. You're doing most of the gamers a favor by preventing potential rollbacks cause of a leaked exploit.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the only items that can be spawned with this method are the test rings, and cash shop items. Like someone else said, there were crimson tokens for sale on West for 1 gold recently. So no, while there would not be any market crashing, if the public gets a hold of this people could go to jail because of the cash shop items.

All of this is false according to history. There is no precedence for any of these proposed outcomes.

MapleStory's market has performed perfectly fine over the countless amount of "game breaking" exploits. This includes generation of mesos in the trillions, duplication of many rare items and much more.

Packets are not risky at all, this has been gone over countless times. Furthermore, the host is the server.

There existed many "NX" exploits in which NX items/effects could be obtained. Nothing bad has ever happened, no jail time and no law suits. Nexon is really going to come after you for "stealing" (implications that Nexon is losing profits; were you ever really going to spend money on NX, a virtual currency that is worth nothing seeing as it can be generated with a click of a button?) 20 dollars worth of merchandise. The time wasted and the money spent on litigation is worth every penny that Nexon will milk from you. They have enough money to throw around already, why not go after a few kids?
