Hackshield Update (?)

Not really, one ends up on the Nexon forums the other doesn't.

It's hard to know who would do things that makes this spin out of control. Sadly I am new to this forum so any updates on using the console probably won't come my way. But if it does, that is great.

I can wait it out, nothing wrong with just playing the game right. =)

I might be a leecher, but why do you assume people are being selfish because they spend their own hard time creating these hacks, and don't want script kiddies like you ruining it for them by using them on public boats. Be grateful that ANY hack has ever been posted. If Hell_Demon does decide to release, that's good for him, but I would personally keep it private because so many people like to show off on public boats.

I never said you have, I said many script kiddies have, and just they fact that they've done it compromises the hack.

There's a middleground that isn't achievable with public releases. People can't be trusted to be responsible. If I give a beggar $10, what's to say they will use it to buy food or blow it on the lottery? There are a lot of idiots running around showing off the console hack and then it gets patched, so what's the point of releasing it in the first place?

Contrary to the ignorance of most, the people using hacks don't always cheat their asses off. Some of us don't have time to waste grinding bullshit for hours, but we want to be able to enjoy the game just as much as everyone else, so we make shortcuts. Usually these types try not to ruin the game for others, too.

The problem is there's no way to sort these people from the idiots when you make a public release.

I love your way of thinking. Honestly, the item hacking and the craft speed hacking is getting out of hand. I use the hacks to simply gimme the extra boost or complete some of the bullshit oath's like kill a bear with a flying anaconda on the second Tuesday of February 1947 during a thunderstorm at 3:19 p.m.... Twice.

Seriously though, I blame bad game design. Things like boring repetition and ludicrous crafting times encourage hacking because many people simply don't have the time or patience to put up with bullshit.

I could not agree more.

The permanent binds work. Everything works except god mode, and one hit kill.
No crashes. In game for while now.
