To my understanding, the max exp you can get is 100/hour, and to get 100 you need to transform AND to a sufficient amount of damage/not die.
If you want an easy way to level your path, you can always use an AutoIt script to transform once an hour while you're not playing. If you can't write a script yourself, I think DanK released a script to do this awhile ago.

but remember u have the base of 75 exp and if u do 1k dmg in trans you get 1 extra exp.
cap at 100 EXP then u add the bonus.
