This may sound noobish, but how do i get the Derp picture title?

i thought donators can change their user title anytime. or is it unlimited name changes?

^ that. You can use it after you get 1337 posts (or instantly if you're a donator, afaik). The latest one is the one I'm using, it features the same amount of padding on top as is the space between the lower tags & the avatar (the earlier version had slightly reduced padding).

He might want to use Tinypic, though personally I don't see why Imgur would be a problem. You can't edit pictures and they're a better host
