Using his paypal just means there is a verifiable trail they can follow straight to you. Once you use it, your ip is logged, your purchase is logged, if you get anything sent anywhere the vendor logs all of that information. Using his money when he doesn't know it is asking for a metric fuck-ton of trouble.

Committing fraud like that could get you in a whole shit ton of trouble, it all depends on the judge and whether or not they feel like prosecuting you as an adult, in this case I don't see why they wouldn't. You can get anywhere from community service and probation all the way up into actual prison time.
