he used a normal brush with lot of scatter
sorta cool shit but i didn't really wanted it on there

i did this but it didnt come out like urs :P!

add some brushes and shapes after you done the part in the tut
with a different blending settings..

possibly with color dodge that will make it shiny
you try out other stuff to like i did
