I have a 300w psu. But I want a card that requires 400w. I talked to a guy that runs a 300w gpu on a 160 psu and he also said it never crashes. So what would happen if I popped a 400w gpu in my computer?
Your computer would be better i think not much of a comp expert
it will be fine, my friend has a 6670 on a 250 psu

Yeah but I'm not an expert on installing a new psu

It's fairly easy, but kind of tedious.
its super easy, I had never built a pc b4 or had any experience and recently did it all myself, the psu was the easiest part to be honest. I just saw a deal for 500w corsair for like 39-49 bucks something like that on newegg.

Cool. What do you have to do though?

Same story when I built my own computer back in December, it was my first time putting together a PC and it went super smooth.

You unplug all the wires from your old PSU and plugin all the new wires from the new PSU.

I only ran into problems when I had to connect the usb/sound/front speaker jacks/ LED lights from the tower etc to the mobo. other than that, it was easy.

My case came with quick plugs so all i had to do was plug all of them into the quick plug then pop the quick plug into my motherboard, way easier than trying to plug each one in separately onto the mobo.
