What's your OS? If you are running Win 7/Vista, it's pretty easy actually. You don't need any external software to do it.
If you are still rocking Win XP, Gpartedⓘ is probably the best.

This is how you partition in Win 7.
1) Start>Right-click "My Computer">Manage
2) From the left panel, choose "Storage" and hit "Disk management"
3) There you will see you hard-drive and from there you can do whatever you want.

do you want to partition to make a game run faster? If so, just do a reformat and ONLY download games and things you use.
