.file type

I changed my hosts file to a .txt so that I could edit it but now I can't change it back
Does it matter if it is a .txt or a .file?

Just change the ending to what it was like text.exe or just leave it like that

Change the file by putting .(file name)

ie : png --> jpg

trollface.png ---> trollface.jpg

Try getting a thing on google like .txt - .file converter?

Go to Organize, Folders and Search Options, View, unselect Hide Extensions for known File Types, and put .file at the end of Host.
