please help me after update i cant play crossfire again

Here download HGWC.exe and replace it in your Cross Fire Folder .

i put it 10 times but doesnt working

Reinstall crossfire
Or cut Hgwc.exe and Hgwc folder and Xtrap folder to eny other place and start crossfire

must be in crossfire folder

Have you tried reinstalling crossfire and downloading the client from different mirrors?

Make sure you are really uninstalling the game completely, not partially, and after you have done that run CCleaner and reboot. And install again using the latest client version.

Also, is preferable you use an user account with Administrator privileges.

^ Including that when you do uninstall, delete the Z8Games folder located in C:\Program Files\Z8Games.

i have windows xp and i dont have anti virus and my RAM 512 and my vedio memory 265
and my pc intel (R)

You don't get what I mean, do you?
I said perfectly to when you uninstall, which means when you go to add/remove programs or programs and features and "delete" it from there, you go back to C:\Program Files and delete the Z8Games folder, which basically gets rid of all "history" of the Z8 folder.

Don't say you reinstalled it 10 times, are you using the different download links? There is like a East Coast Mirror, a West Coast Mirror, and the official downloader Z8Games laid out for you. Latest Client Version? Is why you install the official downloader they gave you.

Look in the Z8 download pages, and there should be something that says:

Yes, install the latest version from their site.

Honestly, have you scanned your computer at all? Using a good anti virus like AVG, NOD32, or even Malware Bytes? Some people claimed that they found a couple of viruses in their computer, and after they got rid of them then crossfire started working perfectly without that HGWC file changed error, or crossfire file changed error.

If Takari methods didn't work.
then here is what you wanna do:
Uninstall crossfire
delete cf folder
delete everything related to crossfire (except the installer)
Install crossfire again
let it update
and then come at the next day and the problem will be solved

thats what i did and it got fixed

Use CCleaner
Reinstall Crossfire
And Put In Different Disk
if nothing happened , Restore Your System

Answered. /closed
