thats wat im using, but i made my gun in parts, so when i go that uv editor, everything is overlayed on top of each other

Hmm, Try to get your spacing just right, it may take some time, but I made the majority of my guns in 1 big piece

What do you mean in 'parts'? Separate meshes, separate textures or both?
Guns should use just one texture. This means you need to layout all the parts within one 'unit' square. If there is overlap than you obviously need to rescale and position the parts so they don't overlap.

i figured someone with custom gun modding could help
