Not sure if trolling or just dumb. Drivers have nothing to do with the BIOS. Also if he has an integrated gpu it'll be used if he removes the dedicated one (perhaps it might require him to clear the cmos, but most likely not).

@navneeta I got the same problem,just do this:

1st Clean up all your CPU (externally & internally,I'm sure it has dust) & video card(remove the cooler & clean it away from your video card).

If nothing:

2nd Buy termal paste & oil for electronics,a bowl (iron one & plane is better),foil & scotch tape.

3rd Pick the bowl & add 4 little squares of scotch tape making a rectangle,then stick on them,4 mountains without top of foil.

4th Pick your video card (remove the cooler first & clean the old termal paste) & put it on the 4 foil mountains with the chipset looking up.

5th Turn your oven up to 100ºC (I don't know in ºF) & wait a few minutes 'till it get the temperature.

6th Put the bowl without breaking nothing (specially for the foil mountains) into your oven for around 15-20 minutes,then turn off your oven & wait 5 minutes with it's door open.

7th Take out the bowl & pick you video card,then add new termal paste on all your chipset.

8th Put some oil for electronics on the centre of your fan's cooler,then spin it for 1-2 minutes.

9th Put again your cooler on the video card.

10th Try out now,if it works,thank me,if not,send your PC to a technic

Hardware != software. Drivers don't even load when the system starts and POST is shown. Derp. Doesn't matter who posted first, you're posting complete BS.

There is no way for dust to get between the heatsink and cpu or between the cpu and the socket unless someone installed the CPU very very very badly.

Adding oil on PC components? Sounds like something you should never do.

Whilst the heating to 100°C can in some cases help solder back stuff or w/e, it's not the ideal way to solve such issues. Especially not when the OP has little to no clue about hardware.

@Hero Because my video card (NVIDIA G-force 8600 GT) always get that problem on around 3 weeks-2 months & always that I try these steps,it works again...

@Alen -The dust can get into the CPU (atleast on my model) betwen the holes at the back side where the coolers get the air for cool the CPU (as tha name says,cooler),putting on the ventilator of the cooler on your mother board or you video card.

-When I say oil,I mean for electronics (it's an special one) not for coocking,don't be an idiot,dude lol.

-I know heating a video card isn't the best way,but it worked (and still working) for me fine,& I preffer do that wasting 20 USD & not buy a new one & waste 400 USD,do you don't think so? I hope I helped you!

yes it does boot the drivers when you start the pc because if it didn't you screen would not display anything also all usb devices would not work. TBH i don't care if you are MPGH staff because it gives you know right to tell me that i am BSing when clearly you need to look on more sites in till you get a better knowledge of computers i have put that in the most respectable way i can. Also taking the graphics card out of the machine to force it to boot up of the integrated gpu is one way of doing it but not the easiest
i would use that as a more of a end result because telling someone to pull there graphics card out when they clearly don't know anything about pc's is like telling a 5 year old to build a house. Thanks
