What about making levers at both side to control the bridge, so it'll stay open and closed?

yes no no and no
i didnt use redstone, repeaters, or a button, its to predictable,

and someone asked if you can make it accross, the answer is yes, but its hard, but the system i used did something very unique that repeaters wouldnt do right, the bridge stays out longer and longer for each 1 that goes out, as you can see in the video the last few take a lot longer to go back in, so if you make it to half way youve got a decent chance to make it 90% of the time, but if you dont get on it the second it pops up you cant make it accross
