I'm doing an experiment to see how many ignorant people won't be able to understand the intentions of the test and will have to ask what it's testing.

I think you're mad
There was no clear test

How is that a test?

I just gave you a full explanation. I will add this to my research that some of the denser subjects have needed to ask even after it was explained to them
so the 'test' is looking at a picture
Pretty tricky
Results should be ground breaking
How many ignorant people?
Is it not ignorant to just assume that I looked the way the arrow was pointing to just say that im ignorant?
Please..

I never said that you were ignorant for looking the way the arrow was pointing. Read the post again.
Guess I failed derp.
I looked left then followed the arrow. What now?

well obviously you failed because you looked at the picture
The picture says you failed so If you look at it at all then you fail
It's a picture.
People read from right to left, despite what tells them where to "look". Your brain processes that there's still more of the image from what is seen through your peripherals.
Image tells me look left, why would I do that? There's more to the image and curiosity is a human characteristic, so it will be explored. Doesn't make sense putting a "you failed". It does take time for the brain to process things, here's it dissected.
1 - You see text, so you continue to look further
2 - your brain is processing it
3 - you realize what the image is trying to tell you/make you do.
4 - confusion overwhelms
The average human brain takes approx. 0.05-1.5 seconds to process information, determined on the complexity and sometimes the speed of the environment in certain situations.
