Nexon Hack warning
These are bullshit. Anonymous doesn't use text to speech, they use voice changing software, and talk. Adding to that, they're not going to make a broadcast in ENGLISH and miss words, and letters. They'll send someone to do it that knows English.
Third, they don't just use some bullshit repeating image, they do their "announcements" themselves.
IF Nexon does get brought down, it's not going to be done by anonymous, they've got bigger and better things to do than hack some shitty game company with an amazon cloud server, and meek security that an ape could crack through.

who the heck cares if analnonymous does this or that ... they could hack the whole damn world and I still would give a fuck ...
if people have no other problems in their life than to think about that ... god feckin' dammit I'd be happy to have the same problems then

I believe you meant wouldn't....
And If you're not concerned with the "health" of the internet, then you're in for a HUGE shock when you realize that the internet controls almost EVERY sliver of banking, logistics, business, economic, political information nowadays. Without the internet the world would fucking crumble. Added to that all of the information that you've EVER put on the internet would become accessible to the public. All thanks to a group that incidentally thinks your information should be just that...public.
Anonymous makes it's stand as a group focused on bringing back equality, and the "right to free speech" but the problem with that is that the only way to seize control of the internet, and make it what you want, is to size control of the internet, which means that somewhere, someone is going to have all the information that's ever been put onto the internet. The second problem is that freedom of speech is a right granted by the sanctions of the UNITED STATES AMENDMENTS, not other countries, and even then we've seen it work against you, where people say you have the right to free speech, but go tell a cop to fuck off, and see what happens. You'll get arrested for "verbal terrorism."
In case you're even more ignorant in the matter I think you should go google the wayback machine. It's an internet archive. It's just as easy for anyone to back up the entire internet as it is for someone to steal your information. The same way that an encryption, and censorship method can exist, there can be a way to reverse it, even if the only way is a small slice of code that the original developer put in it as a backend in case they got fucked over in their job.
Things like this happen every day, not just on the internet. People destroy companies they worked for every day simply because they got fired. my personal opinion is that google would be most to blame for this bullshit going on with anonymous since they never even TRIED to make a public claim as an organization until google announced that they would no longer censor the content that was being searched for if it were "flagged."
This is what I mean when I say that if you don't know what the hell you're talking about shut up.

Dracc, if you don't get my feckin' point keep quiet, thanks.
No, I didn't mean "would not" ... seriously there are things in life much more important than banking, business, economic and all this crap ... your statement
is invalid because if you have no respect for police it could end in anarchy ... yeah that's real freedom then, uh?
Depending on the reason why they got fired and the work they have done for the company I can understand their doing.
Anyway I won't argue with you further here, I see you have a much different point of view than I have and this thread has already become too much offtopic.

I wouldn't really consider it arguing, although it is off topic. Hell, honestly it's refreshing to have an intelligent conversation. LOL I'd love to chat with you some more on MSN if you're up for it :P Point of view is what creates normality. Without the uniqueness of every individual there would be no individuality which would flood the world with the same old mundane toxic crap. Of course at the same time that may not necessarily be a bad thing. Heaven only knows where the "human race" would be if we weren't so unique. We may all be dead, or we may all be rich; hell, it may even still end up being the exact same way. Guess some things are just never meant to be known hmm
Anyways, back to topic. Nexon's retarded, and so is the "organization" that's hacking them. 1. For imitating a group that's being STALKED by the governmental agencies across the globe, and 2. For hacking a game corporation that isn't even as large scale as Electronic Arts, Blizzard, or the likes. Nexon's "threatening" the same things that other game corporations have done for years, and they're not targeting them. I think the reason for this would be because of their lack of skills. Obviously they're just a bunch of 'fucktards' with pre-scribbled scripts because what hacker would use hidemyass to try and protect themselves from a government agency when it's operated out of the U.S.

I love reading your posts and informational stands Dracc, its refreshing to know that some people in the world know what they're talking about.
Hacking Nexon would mean to get less public attention but still Nexon makes massive money with Vindictus in asia as far as I have heard but at the same time I wonder what the point would be to hack Nexon, I'd even prefer hacking Joymax or wemade entertainment if there'd be any logical reason to do so ofc ^__^
However Nexon's warning make them look even more retarded than they already are and I really start to feel like in my Silkroad-times when Joymax all the time said "The war against bots will continue" but the only things you see as well on Nexon's ban-list are mostly goldbot/selleraccounts ... anyway I see at CA that Nexon started banning more seriously than they've done in the past but at the same time I wonder why their NA-guys are so lazy 'bout that *lawl*
offtopic: yeah an intelligent conversation is something worth nowadays if the time and mood fits to it ... however I don't have MSN (nor icq or QQ or similar things .. ok skype but I never use it - only teamspeak zehahaha)

I think one reason for NX to give this Hack warning is the overwhealming majority of people using hacks in the public these days.
Heck, there are posts on the official forums where people ask "Why did my groupleader suddenly have 10.000 HP? He killed the boss with one shot - how did he do that?".
See the problem?
As long as it remained small scale and somewhat hidden from the rest of the world, NX didn't really have a problem with it.
But thanks to some stupids who cheated on public boats, cheated with a full online friendlist (Yes, morons, EVERYONE on your friedlist can see how YOU run every instance in like 30 seconds!) and so on.....this is what put a pressure on NX. Now it's like completely public and it's ruining their image. They had to do something and this is what they did and what they will continue to do.
So I think it was the best decision to no longer release public dll's as thing would only have gone worse. Damage limitation...so to say.
Oh, yeah....and those wannabe-Anonymous guys, as Dracconus mentioned, are probably the same public cheating morons who have gotten some "hacks scripts" in their hands and think they can play a big game now.
I think they started with a (D)DoS-attack, which would be the easiest of all, since there are free tools availablefor it.
NX itself hasn't yet announced the reason of their "network problems". So I'm quite curious about further actions against those attackers....if there really were any.

I agree with the guy above me. Too many people have nothing better to do than ruin it for the rest of us.
@blubbers too...
As I recently posted in another thread too...It's not (in my opinion) OUR members that are doing it more than likely. It's the idiots that are leeching stuff from here, and putting this content on their third party website that I believe are causing this issue.
Afterall, if they're too stupid to come to the original source for HACKS...why would they care about vindictus' economy, or hacking in public.
The problem isn't what people DO, it's their mindsets. People that hack in public, and do obvious shit are only concerned with what they can make off it it, and think that hacks can never be completely patched, just because they exist in one form or another, but that's quite the opposite. Eventually there will be no more hacks if this continues to be the norm, and nexon will just serverside include everything, and block of everything except the base functions. Then we'll all be fucked over morons that (probably) don't even come to this site.

Thats why there should be a limit say 50 posts to download anything. but of course this idea has been stated in many other threads and if i recall correctly has been pushed aside.
Well, I'm more a GFX guy than a coder so I don't know how the structure of the consoles is built but I do think it would/should be possible to build in requirements for:
1. An active MPGH account (console login)
2. An empty friendlist (Memory check/Package sniff? Server -> client: Here are your friends and this one is online -> disable console)
3. A private one-man party (Logfile reading -> xy joined group -> disable console)
and maybe 4. Marketplace-control - 100s of stacks of rare stuff -> force disconnect
I think this, if you ever dare to release another public dll, should prevent most of the problems.

1 .MPGH login on a console?
Injected in a game?
so they can link your ip to a hackerscommunity account.
=BAN
2. cant create a login on a prompt screen.
thanks for thinking with us though.
