Account compromised, lost everything

Is there any recourse I can take? Have the character name and the IP of where my stuff went. Anybody else get hit recently?

You could try contacting the support but Im pretty sure they cant do anything.

Well, they have a ticket specifically for 'hacked' accounts. So no one has ever heard of anyone getting their stuff back in cases like these?

BTW this is the only place I come to about Vindictus, aside from the Nexon site, and the only place I download stuff from. I usually log in to the Vindictus site with a dummy account and I start the game via the exe. If it matters, I've recently downloaded (from here) the stickied new console, a public console that came out slight before that, the latest version of MHWalker, and the Labyrinth bot. Oh, and I guess the Jetbot source.

Any tips on how I can re-secure my account?

AFAIK the programs here are secure. Ive seen people post 'repacks' of things like Dank's console (they got taken down as per his redist terms), so if they were modifying the files they would know if there was any 'iffy' code.

I don't know. Seems like a big coincidence that I don't touch the game for a week because I didn't have a working console and as soon as I update the very next day someone gets into my account.

nexonwin can you tell us to whom your stuff was sent to? I was hacked yesterday by Sicklemm. He only took my spears, rings and 58M. He forgot to look at my 2 other chars though.

Have you guys tried finding the virus/keylogger?

you probably screwed up yourself by giving someone your password or your just really unlucky it's been a while since the whole account hacking epidemic

As for accusing people, that's your interpretation. I'm just stating the facts. I've only come here and to Nexon.net about Vindictus and the day after I update my bots/console I get hacked. Is being overly defensive and taking things I say out of context supposed to convince me otherwise? Especially since I came here looking for help.

So far, I'm run and AVG scan and Housecall and have found nothing.

The problem is with Nexon. I think their servers have been compromised. The only way to not get hacked is to never created an account in the first place. This is a price we must all pay when we decide to play a Nexon game.

Any suggestions on how to get rid of it if it is a keylogger? I've run a few scans and they've all come back clean, which is kind of worse then actually finding something.
