Graphics Problem 2

So most of u probably saw my other thread with my problem with HDMI cable, that it won't work with ps3.
Now whenever I turn ps3 on and a game I play about 5 minutes and then the blank screen appears for about 2 minutes and it keeps repeating, sometimes it even stays forever so I decide to turn off and play on PC.
When my family watches photos from laptop via HDMI cable it works great and nothing happens. I really want to fix it since I might buy mw3 for christmas

I read an article you can use HDMI cable to connect PC monitor to PS3 and it will work without any other adpaters but HDMI to monitor?

I was thinking a VGA-HDMI cable might work if your tv has a VGA port
And you would need a VGA-HDMI converter if it does
That's the "complicated-might work" version

Make sure you TV supports HDMI and your HDMI chord supports your PS3, if you have AV cables use them to connect your PS3 to your TV and then connect your HDMI so you configure settings..?
