Reinstall the game use the crossfire official mirrors not the alternative ones. It may take longer to download depending on your location. But in all the files are updated.

Same has just happend to me i got that message too, i'm reinstalling the game now through the official downloader. I will inform you if it works or not.


*UPDATE* I reinstalled it and it's working perfect now. Hopefully the same for you enjoy the game.
