Overheating Notebook

Hello thereeeeeeeeee!

I really need some information , i'v searched many forums , googled , did some research with my notebook and stuff , still kinda "meh" .

So i hope you might answer my question.

So recently , i tryed to play Skyrim on my Notebook

So em , well.. it kinda runs till 85 degrees C . I mean , should i still play skyrim?

I wouldn't risk it, Acer's are notorious for overheating. I have one that I only use to do my homework for class in. It gets hot as hell just from that, unless you have a heat displacement mat underneath the notebook, I wouldn't try. Maybe keep it elevated and you can try.

That's the problem , i mean , i can't even play game's like Rainbow Six Vegas , if it's not getting till 83 degrees >.>

EDIT : Thought it has never "Auto restarted because of overheating" or such.

You have a 32-bit OS, which should allow you to use more than just 2.6 gigs. It's possible your Processor is locked, but if your Notebook is overheating that quickly I must say you have some stability issues. You may want to bring it back to where you got it (or find a support site from the manufacturer) and have it checked out, something isn't stable in your system. It's as if someone tried to Overclock it and fucked up.

Have you tried reformatting it and reinstalling Windows on it? Also try putting Windows 7 x64, turn the performance down to minimal (such as turning off Aero, mouse trails, under shadow of the windows, etc) and then see how it performs. Your computer may need a tune-up.

Thanks for the suggestions , maybe it's my Illegal version of Windows 7 that could go wrong .... , i will hand it back and reinstall my programm i guess .

That may be a good idea It could be the Pirated OS if it wasn't unlocked correctly, just in case, however, have your laptop checked out by someone who's good with computers, it could be a hardware problem as well.

Well , now i hope that i haven't damaged it , any ideas how to check it?

It's not that you damaged it, it's just hardware instability I think you should have checked out in general. And I wouldn't do it yourself, just in-case you still have the warranty on it.

Get a desktop, then play skyrim unless you want your notebook to melt

I don't even wanna try Skyrim then... a couple of days ago i was just listening to music/aim/msn/had a bunch of tabs open and shit went to 90°.

Lucky as shit right there son! Same shit happened to me, all of my fans went from a short, I had no cash so I sold a few kids some shitty zippo's and got enough for a liquid cooling system
