Try reinstalling.
Remember to delete any remaining folders when you uninstall it, I recommend you use CCleaner for it.
have you disabled your anti-virus, such as firewall, norton, etc? This error should be easily fixed upon re-install.
Make sure there isn't anything affecting the game client. For example, A/V sometimes plays a role - although A/V shouldn't take CF as a threat - it sometimes could be the problem. Also disable firewall. If you are reinstalling the game make sure after you uninstall CF that you delete the remnants of your CF folder. That way when you reinstall CF again you'll have a clean install.
