Le help pls .

Man do i love this section.

This is pretty simple and i'm pretty sure i'll get a quick answer, but i need a way to transfer 8 gigs of music from one computer to another computer. (My cousin has the 8 gigs of music and i want it.) We tried a flashdrive but we dunt have one that's over 8 gigs that we can have access to right now, does anyone have another method?

With any flash drive you can .rar up all the music in parts, then transfer the parts one by one. (For example, if it's a 2GB flash drive, do five parts, if it's four GB, do three). Putting them in a .rar isn't really necessary though, you can just put as much of it on the drive and transfer it. That's the obvious solution. You can also try transferring the files over LAN. @Blaze

I would indeed use a LAN cable for this, fastest method.
You could get yourself a 16GB USB, if one of them is a laptop you could just share the files in your network.

As Blitz said, split the music up into smaller parts or use a local network connection to transfer the files. Either connect the two computers directly with a crossover cable or just get them on the same local network. Alternatively you can use an online host to temporarily store the music, but that seems kinda slow and harder than the alternatives.

Erm, thanks to you three for your responses, (blitz, alen, ravallo,) but i got it solved out already. Before i checked this thread i actually just sent it over teamviewer. Lol.

For future reference: TV can act as a normal VPN service. Would be the same as a direct file transfer.

You mean he used TeamViewer over LAN? Or, what?

He could have done that, or used it to transfer files over the internet, it doesn't matter. It's pretty the much the most effective method of transferring files between computers, if we take out transferring via a faster medium such as USB drive.
