@Hero is absolutely right. .snd error is normal as coders chage .snd file with hacks coding to run it and in real that file is for sound in game-play. so ignore that msg. If you can tell me your pc spec i might get you a little more help, in the mean while try running different versions
P.S if you want sound as well and your pc is real heavily loaded rename the original .snd file as .snd2 (create back up before) and run it then you will have game-play with hack and sound
