i don't think the writting macthes coulor and theme of the sig i would prefer the sig without the writting

All your doing is telling him what's bad about it. Maybe try an telling him how to improve it.
i agree the render is horid.. and in all honesty. Don't use text ahaha make tags instead(no text) and it looks like a Color balance layer, Try gradient maps.. even ones that look bad initially set them to hardlight.. EXPERIMENT!! or else you'll find yourself stuck at the same level.
