Rez Editing Error

I'm trying to do a simple texture rez edit and whenever i open it in photoshop it says cannot read dtx file. I need help, I'm using photoshop cs6 i did everything the tutorials said to do and i converted it to lith tech help please? I also have teamviewer if you could do it for me if you know how to fix.

You need the plug ins for photoshop too, do you have that?

yea but im not sure if i put it in right do you think you could tv me and tell em if i did it right

Well the plug-ins should be "MSVCIRTD.DLL", "msvcrtd.dll", "IMFLithDTX.dll", and "DTXFormat.8bi". Do you have all those? If you then put "MSVCIRTD.DLL" and "msvcrtd.dll" into the photoshop folder, not any sub folders or anything. Then, put "IMFLithDTX.dll" and "DTXFormat.8bi" into: (PhotoShop folder)\Core\Plug-ins\File Formats. Try that, and if it fails let me know, I'll tv you if you need it.

Guys i solved problem, got CS5 and i was doing right it just wasnt working on cs6
