Perfectly said. That makes It a bit useless. I've managed to do this about few months ago But I somehow managed to bypass the server side, and make myself godmode! But then It disconnected dx. I got 1 damage instead of 8, so it was pretty cool.

Again that was only client side. It looked like you only took 1 but you were actually taking 8.

exactly, you'd have to packet edit to change what the server thinks. Even then you can only change the packets you send to the server.

Um no, even with packet editing you cannot change what the server thinks. Think about this, when an enemy sends a 200 damage bullet, and you filter all bullet packets to a 1 damage bullet, when you hit it, you will still take 200 damage because the server updates your health. You cannot send a packet updating your health. If you could, full godmode would exist. It doesn't. You used to be able to memory edit your health really easily.

Interesting, also I meant sending packets from the client, ie sending invalid damage packets. This might allow you to do more damage then you should be able to but if they are even remotely good coders they can block this with minimal validation.

There is no damage packets. Also you receive all damage you do from the server. And your weapon is saved on server too. There is no way to cheat like this
