Battlefield 3

I'm going to start playing BattleField 3 on Ps3 soon .

Which type of soldier should I use , Russian or American and why ?
And what are the best weapons for beginners ? I never touched a Playstation 3 controler to play FPS games so

Any more tips would be grateful.

its easy on ps3 and i think that both are good!!!

my god... you can't really choose the soldier type cuz sometimes you have to be in russian team, and maybe after that you will be in american team... I would recommend to use engineer (you can be AA or AT, or you just simply can be repairing vehicles) and level up engineer class so much that you get A-91. A-91 is accurate and powerful carbine and it is my personal favourite.

I prefer Medic with the M26 dart you can make so many people rage. You also get mad experience for reviving team members. Engineer is the next best class. Get premium too, it's so fucking worth it.

You can level more than 1 class right ?
I heard Famas is a great gun in Bf3 , low recoil , fast bullets per minute and high power . Is that right ?

i hate it

fire rate is to high to controll the gun. and it only has a 25 roumd mag so only a double kill if lucky

and yes you can have more then 1 class. maybe you can watch some lets plays on youtube

Yep , I'm searching some tutorials and gun reviews too .

Play rush for high points because people aren't running around they all have one simple objective
M16A3 for assault
ACW-R for engineer
240 for support
Newest sniper(forgot the name) for recon

I was going to use M16A3,and F200 for Assault.
While M4A1,G36c, and Scar -H for Engineer .

I still need to check Support and Recon classes .

I still suggest going with Medic, at least on TDM where noobs die as soon as they run out of the spawn on Norsahr Canals. F2000 is fantastic, but I really like the KH2002, 556x45mm bullpup 3 round burst, shit mows down enemies if you have a quick trigger finger.

assault weapons (assault rifles) got more damage but more recoil, engineer weapons go less recoil and less damage ... well most of them. it depends what u want.

recon devenetly M98B
and for suport i love to use the Type-88 LMG its prity good.
you also might wanne check out tha AEK-971 for medic its just a good shooting gun

Team doesnt matter but the best class for beginners is engineer. Its easy to level up and you have great guns like the A-91. BTW when you get to it, the best gun is g36c.

Best weapons for each class are as followed (In Order):

Assault: AEK-91 (Hands down), M16A3, and M416.
Engineer: A-91 (Hands down) and M4A1.
Support: Not sure about support, but everyone likes the PkP.
Recon: Hardcore mode M98B is best, normal mode MK11, both of these are hands down the best for each mode.

^ Don't mind him, the g36c has to low damage to even compete with the A-91.

no offense, but how about you just try the gun and see what fits you best?
