Getting Battlefield 3 tonight

Kinda excited because I haven't had a new PS3 game in ages plus I'm kinda sick of MW3

Anyone have any tips and tricks for BF3?

ALSO, For experienced players... how do you judge distance with snipers so you can compensate for bullet drop. Like on the 8x scope does each mil-dot represent 100 meters?

For bullet drop each sniper is different because of different velocities, you just have to get used to one sniper and over time you are then able to gauge how much the bullet will drop over a certain amount of distance.

How do I do that? just hover the crosshair over the enemy?

What he said. Everything is better in hardcore especially if you want to be a sniper.

Snipers are one hit kills in HC? Thats what I like doing in mw3 HC. Camp with the Dragunov

You aren't going to get a OHK with the SVD, but at max distance with any sniper rifle in HC won't be a OHK, they will have 1 HP left. With the L96, JNG-90, M40A5, and the M98B if you are less than 100 meters away it will be a OHK. With any semi-auto sniper it will take two or more shots depending on the distance.

All I do is run laps on Norsahr Canals with my Saiga 12K
