its not wireless and there is no router its cable modem i got d-link router tho he is gonna get it too soon
Wireless cards are a bitch sometimes.
0ok can u tell me how to active it ...? like sing up or something?
If you don't have wireless router, you don't have wireless internet.
he didn't get wireless i think, he put new Ethernet ports in his expansion slot and they aren't connecting to the internet sent by his modem
Oh.... Nevermind then....
How are you connecting to the internet? EG, Cable, DSL, Dialup?

cable, everything works it even says connected it sends like 200 and recives 125 but theres a lock sign on the local internet connection icon
There's a lock on my local internet connection icon, too, in the upper right above the pipe. I think it's supposed to be their; mine works fine.
well i always have two local area connections not just one, one is a 12mbps the other is 100
Why would you even have the twelve? I have a 100 and an 11, but the 11 is my wireless network, not a LAN.
go to start and click on run....
type cmd a window will appear.
type ipconfig
if it says ur ip 0.0.0.0 dont touch if it says a number
type ipconfig/release
now ull see 0000 probably
than typr ipconfig/renew it will take a while to renew when it finished, unplug ur modem power for 10 secs and put it back in.
go to control panel and internet connections, local area, click repair...
reset ur pc this will work 99% if u have a modem and cable internet
