Global Ban #3065 working fix!

Battleye - Global Ban #3065 20.08.2012 "Recently many users have contacted us regarding this specific ban. We've investigated the problem and found that it's a problem with Steam falsely assigning the same (banned) cd-key to many users. Some users reported that reinstalling the game fixed the problem for them, so we suggest that as a temporary solution. We're in contact with the game developers and they have already informed Valve about this problem. We will post an update once they have fixed the issue in their system.

Global Ban #3065 basically means that your unbanned cd key is hacked or stolen. You can get this error from downloading key stealers from youtube videos. To fix this, Follow below:
(You do not need to re-install the game)

1. Start Steam in Administrator Mode
2. Right click on your ARMA 2 and click Properties
3. Click the Local Files tab
4. Click 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache'
5. Repeat step 4 for "ARMA2: Operation Arrowhead"
6. Run both games once with Steam still being ran in administrator mode.
7. Update your DayZ if need be, and play!

For those of you who want to know what this does:
It does update your game info(So also your cd-key), the reason this fixes for a lot of people is due the fact your cd-key was stolen.

could you or someone do a post if you downloaded arma through gamestop app instead of steam,,cant right click to go to properties to verify integerity of game

If you have your cd-key you can manually go into your Regedit -> Local Machine-> Software-> Bohemia Interactive-> Operation Arrowhead and change the cd-key you got online to HEX using the changer thread on the main page.... then change the KEY line of the registry to the HEX code without "-"...

The only problem with this is that if you had a #3065 ban, it means you ran a program that stole your cd key and replaced it with a fake/banned one...so you are likely to be banned sooner or later
