Where did you hear that you can't learn from videos? TheNewBoston has some great videos on C and C++. His videos would be sufficient enough to learn all the basics and some intermediate stuff.

Videos can only help you so much, while programming books contain much more information. Videos can be good at times, but books are the ideal choice.

Books are the optimal solution, but if your only goal is game hacking, videos are fine. You really don't need to know more than the syntax of the language and a bit about memory to be successful in this domain.

This isn't a DLL, it's the project files for the actual hack. You need to get Visual Studio 2010 or Visual Studio 2012 to compile it. Once you compile a DLL will be created and you can inject that. You need to update all the addresses and/or classes if they need to be updated.
