I have to disagree; they downed a couple of government (not U.S.) websites for different causes, usually for rights. Anonymous is just anybody who does anonymous acts 'to help'.

Everyone says that Anonymous has no leader, though there is a definite hierarchy within the group. A few select individuals do all of the organization, while everyone else simply follows in the their footsteps. Anonymous has leaders, just not public/obvious ones.

There is no leader, one person suggests an idea, and everyone else who agrees follows
