Because to people they "seem" cool. I used to think so myself (I will admit) back when I first heard about them. Then I talked to a few buddies of mine who showed me on of their chatrooms, and all they did was bitch about dicks and talk about "who should we DDoS next guiz". It was terrible. But yeah, people just like them because they're something "different".

We need another TV Jacker to get the hype off of Anonymous.
