I got screwed.

Just bought the upgrade to Windows 8 Pro, downloaded and installed. (Super sexy and fast btw) Fully updated, downloaded all new compatible programs/games, personalized the new settings and life was going great until ... crossfire came.

IT'S NOT FUCKING SUPPORTED BY WINDOWS 8, SAME IS CFEU.

So now I am stuck with this OS (again sexy and fast), no way to get it to work before a new update which can take forever. Any suggestions? Anybody with the same problem?
Waiting for the patch is not an option, have a couple of ESL games in EU in a week plus the regular scrims. I can't get back to Windows 7 unless I format my PC which is a fucking joke if I have to backup +800 GBs. (Like seriously +_+)

Isn't a help thread really, just sharing and maybe suggestions .

No, I didn't. Simply because it was working fine on the beta, the pre-release version. I stopped visiting CF section for ages now, since all those raging kids showed up. And I never visit the Z8 general forum, only the competitive (If I ever do).

RE-INSTALL WIN7 only way to get CF working.

I thought about borrowing an old small HD from a drive and install Windows 7+CF on it till they develop a fix. Need to find a friend who have that or a really cheep one.
What was your old MPGH name btw?

Get VMware on it and Work with that....

That's why they had something called pre-release beta. It doesn't make sense if they have something 'good' and working in the beta and remove it in the retail version.

Windows 8 is still new, did someone expect everything to work perfectly for a new operating system?
