Battlefield 3 Process won't stop running

My friend keeps getting an error when ever he tries to launch bf3, i have inserted all the infomation that i think will help you help him solve the problem,
Any help at all will be highly appreciated.

Some Additional details

Can't uninstall or reinstall anything as origin will says can't because battlefield 3 is running.
Yes have restarted computer but process still is running.
Only shows BF3.EXE running in the details part not the Process part.
Happens on all servers.
It use to work, rebooting use to stop the process but now it runs 24/7.
Could be an error with Windows 8?
It did work for awhile with Windows 8.

Thanks in Advance to any help that is given or anything that is recommended to try, had this problem for a month or so now, and tried various things with no avail so thought to turn to mpgh forums for help

try revo uninstaller and then reinstall the game?

re-install the system or try what Prax said

yeah uninstall origin and the game using revo uninstaller it will force the uninstall no matter what

As I said he can't uninstall at all, neither can he uninstall origin, he tried again with Revo still does not work. he needs some type of Process killer, command prompt doesn't do anything either.

start the computer in safe mode and try uninstall it only runs necessary windows apps
