Failed to download version.ini ???

Hi there guys, I've been experiencing this problem:

I downloaded and installed the newest client of crossfire, but when I click "Start game" a window pops up saying "Failed to download version.ini"

Is someone else having this problem too?

Time ago I used to play Combat arms (the public superjump days XD) and I got banned and demoted so I decided to quit, time passed and I decided to start playing CA again, but I was hardware banned or something because theres no way I can execute Ca client again on this computer, but I can play on another computer with no problems, thats how I know I didnt get IP banned.

Does it have something in common with this issue?
I mean, CA and CF use GG as their antihack system, do you think I'm banned for all games that uses GG??

Please help me.

did you do something? or it just fixed itself?? Ó.o

Mine was doing that today, but for all of my games.
Maybe I didn't take into consideration that GameGuard had a silent update in which they now require a new file, version.ini, to operate all GameGuard protection services, and if this file was not found, the game would be shut down, and they apparently didn't update it quickly enough.
