Can't install netframework 4 ( fatal error)
I Can't install netframework 4 ( fatal error) I went on google and found this but it didnt work. I dont have assembly folder\
I went to "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET" there is a directory called "Assembly".

I looked in the directory and found some subdirectories with lots of old dot net 4 files. I renamed the directory Assembly2 and tried to install Dot Net 4 and it worked!!!!

It seems that something was in the old "Assembly" directory.

PLease help/

Well first install framwork 3.5 ( or re install if you have it) then try installing framwork 4

Nvm this happened to me b4.
Here's your issue:

Repeat the steps you listed above EXCEPT using CCleaner. Use of third party "cleanup" tools has shown to be a leading cause of Windows system issues leading to a required OS reinstall.

Clear your %temp% directory. Disable your AV software.

Run the .NET Framework 4.0 standalone installer As Administrator.

If the install fails again, supply full logs as follows:

Please collect your install logs with this:

Download VS Log Collection Tool from Official Microsoft Download Centerⓘ

After you run Collect.exe, you'll find vslogs.cab in your %temp% directory. Please upload vslogs.cab to a public site, like SkyDrive, and post the link here.

Yep would be very useful if you could post some information about the error ( like the crash/error log )
