Battery issue

I changed my background a couple of days ago on my phone (Galaxy S Advance) and I've noticed that the battery is getting empty faster. I haven't made another change recently. Could it be because the background uses brighter paints than the one I used before? And is there a way to work around this, like setting how much light can the phone use for the background?

What background did you have before this one? And you can edit the brightness of the screen in your phone settings, but you can't edit the brightness of the background I think. You can edit it on the PC tho. Put the background on your PC, edit the brightness with microsoft picture manager and put it back on your phone.
