Starcraft II
So, I'm quite new to starcraft only playing about 20 Games, and I'm finding that it's living up to it's name as the 1# RTS Game.
I'm finding some of the basics of Starcraft 2 are probably the best highlights,
A List of why I prefer starcraft to other RTS Games I've played and my comparrison
- The Mechanics are finely tuned every keystroke or mouse click will not require great attention to see that your building will be raised or unit moved
- Balance in the three races is amazing for a RTS game every race has it's high point and weakness using this to your advantage will win the game
- No static units between the races. EG Sniper for Protoss Sniper for Terran Sniper for Zerg. I found that SC2 Uses diverse units through their races
- Vehicles arn't flying fortresses I usually find in RTS games if you build a 'catapult/Tank' They literally have over powered health
- SC2 Gaming community is usually of the upmost very helpful most of the players are willing to give a hand to you other than shon you away

Comparing with other RTS Games I have installed.
Command and Conquer Tiberium Wars 3 - This series of games was very popular for me when I was young and I bought this game from steam to see it's comparrison with the infamous C&C game for the nintendo64... I found that this games mechanics were terrible. I would constantly see the jitter of units and the scaling was horrible I would spawn in 40 squads of militia and they would just all of a sudden stack ontop of eachother and with splash damage in the game someone could drop a bomb on the one 'Death Dot' stack of my units and totaly obliterate my whole army... The game was built very poorly as they game will lag so severely in a fight that it's almost like i'm clicking through a slideshow presentation.
Age of Empires (All of them)
Age of empires will always be a classic to me and I'm not going to compare much to it as it's a very old series i added except im going to say age of empire 3 made me sick it just made me sick Literally I felt sick playing it. Anyways Age of empires 2 the conquerors was a great game only finding suttle problems I would find that there would be some overpowered races but That's always gonna be in the game but when you have like 12 different races to be the differences you can have are huge. It's a alright game but Age of empires 3 is trash

All in all I'm very happy with the outcome of Starcraft 2 even thought it's been out and is currently changing from wings of liberty and going to Heart of the swarm. Can't wait for it to come out.
