Did you get the problems with new computer? Did you or your dad installed OS? Did the computer worked normally before? Is OS legit or torrented?
There were no problems, and it was not a new computer. Just a new hard drive, as my previous hard drive with the OS on it died. My dad installed it, although I could have done it as well. (He's a computer worker, so he tends to know how to do stuff xD) The OS is 100% legit. It was acquired for free, but it came directly from Microsoft, so yeah. My computer had no problems before, although I did get one of my emails hacked at one point, I got the malware out but - wait that's not the point.
TL;DR Version:
1) No
2) My dad.
3) Yes.
4) Legit but free.
Could be caused by a corrupted registry, or problems with your video card. As the other guys said, your best bet is to reformat, or re-install your OS.

Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS
CPU / Processor: Pentium Dual-Core CPU @ 2.60GHz
OS: Windows 7
RAM: 4GB
EDIT: Forgot to put down before that I haven't installed any new hardware at all since my latest installation of Windows 7.
EDIT 2: Added my RAM.
Any new hardware/software installations?
Boot into safe mode, create a new user then restart the computer normally.
Try this before you go and format your hard drive...

No hardware, but I definitely can't say the same about software. No third parties though; I don't trust any third parties except for very highly-rated torrents from TPB.

That's..
..the best suggestion I've heard all day.
Why did we not think of this before? Brb gonna try it then edit this post to say whether or not it worked.
EDIT: Well, crap. It's a no-go. Guess I'll have to reformat my hard drive D:
..Good thing all my important stuff is in my other 2 drives xD
