Im not religious, and i don't think goverment really forces religion, people want to believe in a higher power, they want to believe that there is something else out there.
Its called Hope. Govermnent has nothing to do with it :/ people are going to believe in what ever they want to.

I don't really even question that kind of stuff, i just stick to my religion and don't go to far in because I know it will lead to more shit afterwards.

I agree with the quote. If you think about it, Religion literally is brainwashing. You are brought up upon values and morals not chosen by yourself. Not even chosen by your parents. It's a lifestyle chosen for you, with no thought of your own. It is bestowed upon you, etched into your brain since you are born. The chances are you will never change for as long as you live. You are forced to believe that what you were taught is the only undeniable truth. Even going as far as to discriminate others for their own choiceless upbringing. What makes so sure what you were taught is true? You only seem to feebly cling to it, as it is all you know. As if it were wrong, the very fiber of your being would be lies. An arrogance based upon nothing but what was said to be the truth. With no facts to back it up. We destroy our brothers for what they believe, but never look within ourselves and search for our own wrong. The chance that our belief is incorrect. If religion had never been invented, would we all wake up one day and believe exactly what we do now? No. This is because the general population is sheep, and the corruption of organized religion the herder. They tell us how to live, tell us how to die, and if not, there will be consequences. If you are not part of that religion, damnation be upon you. An eternal circle of ignorance.
