Post bans ?

I did a quick search already regarding post bans, but I couldn't find a thread on them.
I want to know exactly how they work. I've seen a lot of people talk about being post banned for years, and I've seen people be post banned for days.
The only thing I understand about it is you can request a post ban for a certain amount of days, and I'm not certain about this but I think if you go over the amount of the posts the post ban is for after requesting one, you get banned extra time or something?

at 1337 you get banned then 2K.3K.4K.5K and so on, it is a mpgh tradition to get banned, Its sort of getting time off MPGH for a while, the ban usually is 1-2 days.

You have to request them, kind of getting recognized for your activity. All of them are just a day or 2, we're just trolling when we say they'll be banned for years. It freaks the newphags out.

Post ban is just a mpgh tradition, you don't have to get a post ban. plus if you do want a post ban you can't go over the post ban limmit for example 2,000 post each post over 2,000 will result in years of ban.

Old MPGH tradition, Your not forced to do a post ban but most people do just to brag about how much they spam.

Ohh ok so when they say post banned for years they are just fucking with us newbs got it .

1,337, 2k, 3k, 4k, and so on you can request a ban to have time off. The bans are usually 1 Day (24hours) But if you go over they add an extra day or so. Depending on how far you go over. If you fake a post ban you will get permanently banned or banned for 2 years.

Note: If you post in General, post bans are mandatory.
