Completely and utterly incorrect. We don't have an explanation because there currently is none. We assume a position of ignorance and continue research about the world around us to learn our origins. Religion's explanation is founded upon nothing.

Atheism is not science. Atheism is the belief that there is no higher deity. Science is not a religion.
