Time Warner
So a guy from Time Warner is here setting up internet, and I was asking him about download speed.
"You don't get download speed, you get DB."
What. This make sense to anyone?

Tried explaining what I meant to the guy and hes still trying to argue that what he is talking about is correct. Not only that, but I tried specifically asking if there would be any extra fees on the installation, which was already 90 dollars, and they were trying to make me pay 30 dollars extra on it. Nope. Also, DJ, considering it.
You sure he isn't talking about digital bandwidth? Because that would make him correct. He can only talk about maximum throughput and theoretical bandwidth, he's most likely contractually unable to talk in actual download speeds in case your internet isn't fast. If he says you should be able to download at 20mB/s and you only get 9mB/s then you can complain to TW about not getting the service that you were told you were getting. If he only talks about bandwidth then he's covering his and TW's ass.
That makes some more sense. I think that could explain it.
