Dogs look waay better than a cat and cats just lay around getting fat until they die .

It really depends on what you want and what type of situation you live in.
If you like to run and swim, get a Labrador or golden retriever. There are so many dog breeds though!
If you can't stand shedding hair, try and find a "Labradoodle" which is a mixed breed between a ladrador retriever and a poodle. They're fluffy, but don't shed! Anyone who's allergic to dogs can be around them too!

If you live somewhere hot, get a short hair dog, because long haired dogs will be miserable and it's not fair to you or them.
If you know what your budget is, look around your area for what you might think you want.
Dog, they might give you company when you feel alone or depressed. Cats are like "I don't give a fuck about you, feed me."
